Nathalie Vera is a fourth year student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is majoring in English and minoring in Spanish. Nathalie was born and raised in Peru until the age of 12, when her family decided to move to the U.S in 2004.
She has lived in the San Fernando Valley with her mother and younger sister since then. Her father lives in Spain and she plans on studying abroad in Madrid over the summer to visit him. Nathalie wants to pursue a career in journalism.
She has worked for the campus newspaper, The Bottom Line, and is currently Associate News Director at KCSB's News Department, UCSB’s radio station. She produces the daily newscasts, anchors the news, and trains incoming reporters, among other duties.
She would also like to publish a book one day. She wrote a mystery novel at the age of 13, and is hoping to publish it in the future.
