"Write to write. Write because you need to write. Write to settle the rage within you. Write with an internal purpose. Write about something or someone that means so much to you, that you don't care what others think."

- Isn't It Pretty To Think So?, Nick Miller

Chloe Babauta is a third year English and Film & Media Studies double major at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Babauta was born and raised in Yona, Guam until 2010, when she moved to Davis, California with her family. Babauta is the oldest of 6 children and has 2 adorable cats back home in Davis.

Currently, Babauta is taking an 18-unit course load, serves as a co-chair for the UCSB Pacific Islander Student Association and the outreach coordinator for the Associated Students Student Commission on Racial Equality, and does freelance writing/editing work.

Babauta is a 4th generation writer in a family of journalists and authors. Over the past few months, she has been writing extensively for her own relationship and self-love advice blog, Lovescrewed.

Babauta has experience in freelance writing and editing -- she has professional editing experience, including copyediting several eBooks by entrepreneurs and copyediting for one of the most visited blogs on the Internet, Zen Habits. Babauta has also recently started writing for one of the UCSB student-run newspapers, The Bottom Line. In addition to her writing/editing experience, Babauta has social media skills, which helped generate enough attention/hype to get her employer’s ebook ranked number 1 on Amazon (on the "Entertainers" and "Rich & Famous" categories).

In her spare time, Babauta enjoys reading, watching horror films with her friends, keeping up with many different TV series (e.g. Community, Game of Thrones, Parks and Recreation, Once Upon a Time, The Mindy Project, etc.), doing yoga to de-stress, baking deserts (preferably Breaking Bad-themed deserts), going to the beach, and occasionally going running.
