Tiffany Park

Page history last edited by Tiffany Park 7 years, 6 months ago

So many people walk around with a meaningless life.  They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important.  This is because they're chasing the wrong things.  The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.

- Mitch Albom, Tuesdays With Morrie

Tiffany Park is a third year student at the University of California, Santa Barbara double majoring in Communication and English.  Having a high tendency of putting too many things on her plate, Tiffany is often found to be involved in many things and always managing to make it through all of them with one to three hours of sleep.  Some on-campus involvement include being the campaign manager for OPP 2013, during which the party swept the AS Elections.  After this involvement, she went on to be more involved with Associated Students' Commission on Student Well Being working as Publicity Chair.  Being a communication major specializing in social media, she believes that there is always a way for any campaign or endeavor when there is involvement of the grand and massive Internet.  Aside from on-campus involvement, Tiffany also is Social Media Chair/Webmaster for her sorority Gamma Phi Beta.  Currently, Tiffany is a server at Itsuki Japanese Restaurant and has previously worked various retail jobs around the Santa Barbara area.

Originally from Brazil, Tiffany and her family moved to Anaheim and resided there until she moved to Santa Barbara for college.  Since moving to Santa Barbara, Tiffany has found a true "home away from home" because Santa Barbara seems to resemble much of the carefree environment that she was raised around in Brazil.

In her free time, Tiffany enjoys freewriting, running, doing yoga, and stirring up new vegetarian-friendly recipes.  As she has a sweet tooth, she usually tends to stick with dessert recipes and shares them with her entire sorority to avoid getting fat all by herself.

To wrap things up, Tiffany is a feminine cup of tea that really just wants to enjoy every bit and piece of life.  Though she is not certain of what she would like to pursue in the future as a career, she is certain that she wants to help people, whether it be directly or indirectly.  She believes that there is always a way for everything as long as optimism is given a chance.  And for that reason, she keeps an mind with every day that opens up to her and feels certain that she will one day find her purpose.
